Brigette (she/her) co-founded Southtown Yoga in St. Louis, MO, back in 2007. She poured her heart and soul into building a yoga community in a neighborhood where yoga was brand new to most. With over 40 weekly public classes, the studio quickly became a place so many practitioners called home. She led countless teacher trainings and hosted weekend workshops with both local and internationally recognized guest teachers. Southtown Yoga will forever be one of Brigette’s most treasured success stories.
From 2013-2023, Brigette served as the director of Yogahour®, spearheading nationwide teacher training programs alongside her teacher and mentor, Darren Rhodes. In 2014, Brigette and her husband moved their family to Tucson, AZ. There she worked alongside the best of the best at YogaOasis, as the teacher training program director. Training teachers was her passion.
Brigette currently lives in Costa Rica and enjoys a slower life. She surfs daily, writes often and still loves a good asana practice. She is very involved in her local community and her young family is her top priority. She is content teaching a few public classes per week and 1-2 retreats per year. Of course, yoga will always be a part of who she is and how she lives. However, instead of spending the majority of her time and energy teaching asana, Brigette is most interested in the quieter, inner practices. She is grateful for the ways her practice builds awareness so that the way she moves through this world is purposeful and with joy at the forefront.
